threesixfive, days 1 thru 8

i'm back on the project 365 bandwagon!
i participated faithfully in 2009, and even made some new blog friends along the way, but felt that my blog became more about that as the year went on , than me posting funny stories about the kids and whatnot.
well last year i didnt participate at all (after the first 2 weeks of the year), and my blog suffered becuase of it. i lost a lot of my readers and wasnt motivated to blog as much.
so im back, and hopefully will stick with it and be glad i did in approximately 357 days.

day 1:
the year begins with black-eyed peas! we eat them every year, but allen hates them, so this year i made cowboy caviar (a cold dip/salad) instead of just cooking a can of b.e.p.'s. super yummy, and allen approved.

day 2:
we went to lunch with the lamberts after church. this is colby and their son adler. and mojo in the background.

day 3:
we went to the library and molly wanted a stamp, so i had her stand in line by herself to get one (after i assured her i'd be "just right over there" where she'd be able to see me). i thought she looked like such a big girl.

day 4:
i had to go to the hospital early for a procedure (i've had crohns disease for 10 years; this was routine. no worries.) and when i went to change into the fashionable hospital garb, saw that i had put on two different flip-flops when i dressed that morning.

day 5:
i parked next to this car at the outlet mall on wednesday. i couldnt resist taking a picture. eyelashes? really?

day 6:
colbys been in swim school since september. he goes once a week and loves it! right now hes trying to master the backstroke. when he can do it for 20 yards, he gets to move to the next station. this ones been giving him some trouble, but i think he'll nail it soon.

day 7:
colby and i did some reading outside today while we were waiting for molly to get out of preschool. taking advantage of the beautiful weather before the supposed cold fron comes thru next week.

day 8:
a lazy saturday at home, complete with a fort in the living room.

have a great week!!!!

My first day back at church after having my 2nd child, I looked down during the sermon and saw that I had 2 different shoes on...nice!

Your kids are getting SO big!!

I love the eyelashes! If I had a VW bug I would totally have to get some.

I'm not a flip-flopper - I only have two pair that are out at any given time & they're totally different (Nike & croc). But I have put two different shoes on before, back when I used to get dressed in the dark.

I spy a nose on that thar car too!

I know what you mean about the 365 consuming your blog. That happened to me too! But I am finally in a routine that works for me, so I think I'll stick with it. I started late last year anyways and want to finish my official year, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna keep at it.

Nice to "meet" your family!

I've done the two different shoe thing too -- to church while we were on deputation! I have a black pair and a navy blue pair the exact same style, and in the early morning light they looked the same color :)

Happy you're back! For me it's just such a great way to document the year! Otherwise I'd forget a lot of what happened.

Great photos! Have a wonderful week!

Forts in the living room...oh how I remember those. My 10 year old has been known to still make one now and then. Those eyelashes are funny, I've seen reindeer antlers and red nose, but never eyelashes.

Looks like a wonderful week and I look forward to many more...right??

I have two of the same pair of shoes, one in brown and one in black. I've been known to put on one of each every once in a while. sigh.

The eyelashes cracked me up!

Forts in the LR; what fun! Thanks for sharing your week and welcome back.

Thats hilarious about the flip flops... I've done that myself... OOPS! (Hope you're feeling better!)

I have to say, if I had a mustang, I'd put eye lashes on it too! :)

I thought that picture of the kids at the pool, that he was in mid-air, cannon balling in... haha!!!

Welcome back! Many times I don't post during the week, but this is still very worth it and keeps me coming back. But I do want to keep some midweek posting goals this year.
It's fashionable to mix-match socks, why not flip flops? And did anyone else notice besides you?
Funny 'girl' car. I wouldn't dare draw attention to mine that way 'cause I don't keep it clean enough.

Have a great rest of the week.
